The sedan offers you the option of the 1.6-liter turbodiesel Ecotec inline 4-cylinder (I4) engine paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, which helps save energy due to the relatively high number of gears. And even if you go with the gasoline-powered 1.4-liter turbocharged Ecotec I4, which is hitched to a 6-speed automatic transmission, you will still get really good fuel efficiency: at 30/38 mpg. The 2019 Chevrolet Malibu, which has a standard 1.5-liter turbocharged I4, is no slouch on fuel efficiency, either—even with its larger size. It provided 22 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. And you can go with a hybrid version to bump those numbers to 49 mpg and 43 mpg, respectively.

As five-seaters, both the 2019 Chevrolet Cruze and the 2019 Chevrolet Malibu provide seats with enough room for occupants of any size or age to feel comfortable. Easy-to-Use Infotainment System

In recent years, Chevrolet has been commended for equipping their vehicles with infotainment systems that are easy to use. And the 2019 editions of the Cruze and Malibu are no exception. Replacing the longstanding Chevrolet MyLink interface is the automaker’s latest brand: the Chevrolet Infotainment 3. It is anchored by a 7-inch color touchscreen on the Cruze and an 8-inch one on the larger Malibu. Standard on both vehicles are Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for smartphone integration and Bluetooth wireless technology for hands-free phone calling and audio streaming. A four-speaker stereo system goes on the Cruze while the Malibu gets six speakers.
