All trims for the sedan and hatchback are powered by a strong turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 153 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque that spins the front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. The Diesel trims utilize a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder diesel engine that generates 137 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque that is connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
Safety
All trims for the sedan and hatchback feature a host of airbags and safety aids that were mentioned above. The federal National Highway Traffic Safety Administration(NHTSA) has not tested this year's models, but the 2018 models which are similar received a four out of five stars overall crash rating. The private Insurance Institute for Highway Safety(IIHS) has not completed all tests for the 2019 models, but so far the models performed well during overlap frontal and side-impact collisions.
