Performance
The 2018 Chevy Traverse's 2.0 L turbo SIDI engine delivers up to 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. Also having a SIDI design, the 3.6 L V6 engine generates up to 310 hp and just more than 265 lb-ft. Each powertrain has a start/stop function that saves fuel. Rated at 170 hp and just over 200 lb-ft, the 1.5 L turbo engine has entry-level status in the Chevy Equinox. The vehicle's 2.0 L turbo engine yields more than 250 hp and a maximum of 260 lb-ft. Additionally, this compact Chevy crossover SUV is available with a 1.6 L turbo diesel engine that spits out 240 lb-ft. Both models offer a nine-speed automatic transmission system with a responsive gearbox. These versatile cars also roll on an all-wheel drive (AWD) that maximizes traction on snow, dirt and other surfaces. Featuring multiple settings, the Traction Mode Select lets you personalize the Traverse's drivetrain.

Interior
A tri-zone automatic climate control system is available in the 2018 Traverse. The 2018 Equinox offers an automatic climate control system with two zones. Both Chevy models offer heated and ventilated front seats for extra comfort. Consisting of two glass panels, the Dual SkyScape roof easily opens and closes to entertain and refresh the rear passengers in the Traverse. This mid-size SUV has the signature Smart Slide technology that makes it easy to move and adjust the seats in the second row. Noise-cancelling technology ensures a quiet ride in this spacious Chevy model. Hidden behind the vehicle's infotainment system, the storage compartment comes with a lock to secure your most precious personal items.

Safety
For 2018, Chevrolet has added the Low Speed feature to the Forward Automatic Braking in the Traverse and Equinox. Both vehicles are available with the Forward Collision Alert that comes with several settings that determine the following distance. These Chevy cars also have the Lane Keep Assist that usually activates only after the Lane Departure Warning turns on. Additional monitoring of adjacent lanes might be done by the Side Blind Zone Alert. Linked to ultrasonic sensors, the Rear Park Assist takes the trouble out of parking these Chevy cars. Additionally, you could see multiple views of the perimeter on the Surround Vision interface that appears on the 8.0-inch touch screen. Both Chevy models also have the IntelliBeam headlamps that automatically change the brightness of the illumination.
