How Does the Equinox Perform?

Three engines are available on the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox. The smaller one is a 1.5L turbo-4 that pumps out 170 horsepower. It's mated to a six-speed automatic transmission on all but the Terrain model, which gets a nine-speed. The LT and Premier trims can be purchased with a more powerful 2.0L turbo-4, and if you choose this power source, you'll enjoy a total of 252 horsepower. This engine comes standard with the nine-speed automatic transmission. The diesel option is a 1.6L turbocharged engine rated at 137 horsepower, and this engine rewards you with an impressive 39 mpg on the highway. This engine is mated to the six-speed automatic transmission. The Equinox promises great acceleration if the 2.0L engine is chosen, with a mere 6.4 seconds required to get the machine up to 60 mph. All-wheel drive is available on all but the base L trim.

Interior and Features

Standard features on the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox LS trim include height-adjustable front seats, a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, Bluetooth, OnStar, a 7-inch screen display, and 4G LTE connectivity with a Wi-Fi hotspot.
